Bob Cypher is a graduate of Fairfield University and Fordham School of Law and has been licensed to practice law since 1980. He has been licensed to practice in New York and Massachusetts and is admitted before the United States District Courts of the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and the United States Supreme Court. He has served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps and tried over fifty Courts-Martial and Administrative Boards to verdict. Upon retirement, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. He was appointed as an Assistant District Attorney in Queens County, New York.
Subsequently, he has been employed as Trial Counsel and Partner for several well-known defense firms, taking over fifty jury verdicts. Bob has served as a Rye City Councilman, was an adjunct professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and is a retired City Court Judge, and has presided over multiple civil and criminal trials and evidentiary hearings. He is a Member of the New York State City Court Judges Association, United States Naval Institute, Marine Corps. Reserve Association, and is a trustee of the Rye Historical Society.
